Computer Software for Toddler: A Brief Guide and Recommendations for Parents

May 19, 2017

Today, it is no longer uncommon to see children and toddlers using a computer to play software for toddler, such as educational games. However, you should choose which software to install carefully since your choice should follow the age of your kids and other important considerations. Below, we have some recommendations you’d like to download and install later.

Most programs for toddlers, including the toddler software free, are designed to allow the children to tap the keys on the keyboard randomly to produce any reaction on screen. Alternatively, such programs are to allow them to swipe the mouse more deliberately without any need to click it.

Reader Rabbit Toddler

This designed-for-toddler program is ideas for those ages 18 months and up that are already familiar with how the mouse works. We highly recommend this product since it offers you a good repay value along with a great selection of activities even for older toddlers. This program for young kids helps teach them to swipe the mouse. We especially love the activity that involves coloring a picture by swiping the mouse back and forth. In short, this is an ideal fun and educational program for kids to learn using a mouse.

Disney Learning Toddler

There are 3 CD-ROMs bundled in this program, and two of them are good as toddler programs: ‘Mickey Mouse Toddler’ and ‘Winnie the Pooh Toddler’. Although we find both programs do not have quite enough activities, the bundle itself solves it nicely as a whole! There are cute and quite responsive activities featured in this toddler program bundle. Unfortunately, we do not consider the third title ‘Rolie Polie Olie’ is suitable for toddlers and their range of capabilities.

The features in this program bundle allow the kids to play either with the keyboard or the mouse with an engaging format and nice valuable activities for educational purposes. This bundle is ideal for both young and older toddlers, especially to teach kids how to use the mouse.

Sesame Street Baby

This program can also be used as lapware. The activities are categorized into those that require the mouse and those that require the keyboard to use. To switch between the sets of activities, the presence of an adult is a must. Featuring the famous and favorite characters from Sesame Street, bright graphics, and fun activities, this toddler educational program is also our recommendation. Even so, this free toddler apps is not ideal for an independent play.
